Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II

10th September 2022

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II

by the Grace of God, of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and of
Her other Realms and Territories Queen, Head of the Commonwealth, Defender of the Faith.

21st April 1926 – 8th September 2022

It is with profound sorrow that I offer my deepest condolences, and those on behalf of the people of Stanwix
Rural, to the King and to the Royal Family at this most painful time.
Though Her Majesty’s passing marks a day of inevitable human destiny it is also a day that many millions
around the globe could scarce imagine.
On her twenty first birthday the then Princess Elizabeth, in a speech broadcast from Cape Town, dedicated
her life to the service of the Commonwealth, now a global association of 54 member states representing a third
of the earth’s population.
As the world’s longest reigning Head of State Her Majesty’s tireless work ethic, encyclopaedic knowledge of
wherever she was in the world, and with whom she spoke, along with her inexhaustible devotion to duty made
her the doyen of the most highly respected individuals on the world stage.
Queen, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, woman; her presence seemed as enduring as the very
foundations of this her earthly realm, yet in our hearts we knew it could never be so.
So now we mourn, and remember, for to us and to millions around the world, she will ever remain, simply –

The Queen.
