Stanwix Rural Parish Council is responsible for a group of 9 small, geographically distinct and close knit, cohesive communities, varying from small villages to true hamlets:
- Brunstock
- Crosby-on-Eden
- Houghton
- Linstock
- Park Broom
- Rickerby
- Tarraby
- Vallum
- Walby
The Parish covers a large geographical area and is bounded on the west by the main part of Stanwix and Kingmoor, on the south by the river Eden, on the east by Irthington Parish and on the north by Scaleby and Westlinton Parishes.
The Parish Council meet monthly (excluding August) rotating between Houghton and Crosby Parish Halls. Meetings plan to be held in Linstock too when possible. Members of the public are invited to attend each of our meetings.
